  • Preparing for an examination is a perfect Bak image. The large Hassidic figure is reflecting on a passage from a fragment of parchment while dangling another long parchment with no text inscribed. The small Hassidic figure offers up a smaller fragment. Also without text.

The events of the Holocaust have erased all of the holy purposed text. The rules and guidelines for human behavior have been obliterated by misdeeds of the warriors eg either Nazis or their allies.

The parchment remains. Is it up to our generation to write new holy text? Is there anyone or any group who can attempt to prescribe a code of law that will provide a path to meaningful survival? How to save us from wars and killing one another and from the destruction of the planet?
