[Hoop Dance, Intermezzo (between parts 2 and 3), "Mechanical Ballet"/Material Play"*. Bauhaus stage Dessau, conceived and directed by Oskar Schlemmer, choreography created in collaboration with Manda v. Kreibig. The premiere of the Hoop Dance*, a performance of c. four minutes devided in four parts, took place as part of the matinée show of the Bauhaus-Stage at the Volksbühne Berlin, on 3 March 1929.
At the Bauhaus carnival under the motto "Metallic Party"* on February 9, 1929, the wire curtains and figurines were the decoration on the Bauhaus stage].
TLF: "Wire figurines and wire curtain for Metallisches Fest by Oskar Schlemmer ... [photos] were taken under Oskar Schlemmer's direction" [211]
Scheper: "Metallic Party (Metallisches Fest) is the motto of the traditional Bauhaus carneval celebrated on 9 February 1929. In retrospect it is referred to as the most wonderful."* [209, p. 185]
