  • [Bauhaus stage Dessau, conceived and directed by Oskar Schlemmer.
    The premiere of this performance of c. one and a half minutes took place as part of the matinee show of the Bauhaus-Stage at the Volksbühne Berlin, on 3 March 1929. The stage set of the Metal Dance is tightly limited by four metallic pillars in the back and by metal sheets on the left, right and bottom. On the latter the dancer in her white leotard and metal hood acts with reflecting spheres in both hands.]
