  • A pillar of pawns. Bak's tribute to these simple soldiers in the war of survival and of life.
    An artistic construction that serves as a reminder of those who were sacrificed along the way. It is never sure if the ends justify the means, but the pawns are expendable.

    Examples abound... especially Stalin simply throwing human beings in the advance of the Nazis. The toll amounts to more than 20,000,000.
    How can we ever comprehend the scale of devastation and destruction?
