What a commentary on the importance of commitment as well as recognition that we all come with our own history and baggage aka brokenness and trauma.
The Cup holds all when whole. When broken the contents seep away. Often the handle is also a question mark. Here they are touching as if committing one to another.
One of the cups has bullet holes and both have had the color diminished with the passage of time and of life itself.
The handles of the spoons are bound together. The placement in the landscape under a somewhat ominous sky creates a sense of monumentally.
