  • Talk about getting "nailed" and creating a monument to this act of brutality. Once again, the artist reminds us of our total disregard for humanity and civilized deeds.

This work is the portrayal of the horrific Russian war versus Ukraine and brother killing brother. Gruesome.

The area around is littered with fragments as if a bomb has exploded. Why do we continue to need to kill others?

Each work in this Octet renders another vision of inhumanity. There seems to be no end to it.

The yellow fragments as triangles reminds us of the yellow stars of David. So we are never far from the seminal event of horror: the Holocaust.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

    Scattered. Tattered. Pierced. Nailed.
Emerging from a bullet hole ridden tombstone these adversaries are engaged in the struggle to the death. Already dead and in stone yet somehow the killing goes on.

The context includes the yellow triangles of the Mogen David the 6-pointed yellow star. I
mpaled on the branches of the trees.
The one tree is shorn of its branches.
It is a scene of death.
