  • Can you see the forest for the trees or the trees for the forest?
The foreground figure emerges from the pit to inspect the roots of the levitating tree.
His colleague is bound to his tree which has been cut off and has a wheel attach for moving purposes.
The figure holds the sprig with the possibility of replanting it.

The uprootedness of the artist as well as the millions of refugees are all carrying their roots with them.
Will they ever be able to re settle and continue their lives?
Clearly the soil of the new abode will provide very different nutrients and their lives will be very different.

Replanting also usually requires a new language.
    What is the mother tongue?
More and more questions. Such is our world.
