[Bauhaus stage Dessau, conceived and directed by Oskar Schlemmer, choreography created in collaboration with Manda v. Kreibig, a professional ballet dancer who co-operates with Schlemmer since February 1928. First performance at the dancer's congress, Tänzerkongreß Essen in der Kammermatinée im Schauspielhaus Essen, 25 June 1928; duration 4 minutes.]
Scheper: "... it was not only until spring 1928 that the project could be realized. Schlemmer then co-operated with ballet mistress Manda v. Kreibig, who just had come to the Bauhaus stage. At the Festival of Dance in Essen, in 1928, she performed the Staves Dance (Stäbetanz) for the very first time."* [209, p. 196]
