  • TLF: "[Finally I got started in our dream house, No. 6, Holly Avenue.] I am translated to the tropics – I am in a garden – I know even the name of the owner – he even has a daughter – well, that’s enough: here is the painting – mostly triangles.... No, they are not leaves... – we are looking at oxide of chromium, cadmium yellow, Mars brown, Venetian red – pigments is what we are looking at; patterns, too ... This (roughly) is the story of my discovery of the inter-relationship of various aspects of my craft: design and content." [105]
