Harvard Art Museums/Busch-Reisinger Museum, Association Fund, BR65.150
Provenance: 1965 December, sold from the exhibition at Cambridge Art Association, Cambridge, MA, to the Busch-Reisinger Museum, Cambridge, MA
TLF: "A group of Eliot House students invited me [in 1962] to give an evening class in drawing and painting. For two years we met, twice a week... I became quite attached to this enterprise... Besides two “Eliot House Still-Lifes” with Venus and guitar, respectively, there are four figure compositions traceable to the Life Class... The emotional value of them forms an important part of what I have designated as "Poetic Space"." [105]
Cambridge Chronicle, 1965: "...one of the most interesting, "Three Figures" was purchased at the opening by the Busch-Reisinger Museum..."
