[The Bauhaus-Archive Berlin has corresponded with T. Lux Feininger about their print; in a letter dated April 6, 2005, the artist denies authorship for this photograph, among others: "Unfortunately, no: - None of the photos sent to me is mine. I have never owned a time trigger. I had a very long cable trigger, about two meters long, which I once used only: there is a full-length double portrait of Andreas and me, from about 1928, for which my brother used this trigger.** [...] The carnival shots are also new to me, have never seen them before; the same applies to the "Criminal". [...] As you say yourself, it's been a bit too long."
**However, the artist took more than one photo with cable trigger and also used cameras with time release for self-portraits, i.a.].
